In 2012, All Saints parish celebrated its 150th anniversary. It was planted in this part of the city to reach a growing number of workers in Nelson. Over the years it has established itself as a church for Nelsonians from all walks and customs of life. Alongside local outreach to those on the margins of society, All Saints also has a history of reaching families, children and youth.

The church building will be 150 years old in 2018 and it has a heritage rating for its exterior. The old has successfully been integrated in with the new. The foyer was added in 2009 and is a significant asset to the facilities. Recently some important maintenance work has been carried out to strengthen the foundations. This meant a new carpet-covered concrete floor and the replacement of the pews with comfortable seating.
