Pastoral Care is recognised as a primary response in this 'Community of Hope' as we work together to build up the body of Christ. We aim to provide care and support for members of the All Saints congregations as well as those we meet through the outreach ministries. Pastoral care can include support for individuals and caregivers, personal health advice and information, health education and promotion, referral, advocacy and liaison with other health professionals, and prayer with an awareness of the inherent relationship between faith and health.
Home groups are an integral part of Church life, providing further avenues for teaching, fellowship and pastoral care. There are evening and daytime home groups. (Gordon Taylor - 548 3124)
Nelson Community Night Shelter - This is a men's shelter for those unable to find permanent accommodation. It is full most nights and also provides an evening meal for those staying. The Shelter is administered by an independent Trust jointly run by All Saints and the St Vincent de Paul Society. (Edward - 548 8125)
Kids'N'Koffee is a playgroup for preschool children and their carers that has operated since 1993. It meets in the church creche, and funding from Ministry of Education development grants has enabled this to be a well resourced activity. (Lois - 548 7438)
